Great company passed my Class 2 first time thanks to the excellent calm instruction from Alan, Lorraine and Hayley in the office are great and know their stuff. I was recommended to use British HGV by my CPC teacher Vic and it was worth every mile traveling from Birmingham to get there and I will be booking up to do my Class 1 with them as soon as I’ve saved up.

I don’t usually write reviews, however this company definitely deserves my time to write one.
I’d just like to say what a great week I had training with the British HGV training company when completing my CAT C (HGV) training and assessment. They were extremely flexible as I needed to fit the training in around my various other commitments. I am not your typical HGV driver, I have done my training/test to allow me to drive a large horsebox however everyone was very professional and encouraging. I learnt at the Cannock depot and which is easy to find and has adequate parking. The lorry was great as it was very similar in size/weight to the horsebox I will be driving. My instructor was very knowledgable and encouraging and gave me the confidence and training to be able to pass my test first time (with no driver faults – so I must have listened!)
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the company for driver training, and am very pleased with my experience. Thanks very much guys!!

having paid to train through an broker I had little choice of which company I would be sent to. British HGV was not my closest but as they had availability that fitted better with me I went with them. They work out of two based one in Cannock and one in Cradley Heath. The Cannock base is the one that I was training from. The base has enough parking for candidates and the vehicles are all in good condition and appeared to be well maintained. There is also a waiting room that has tea and coffee facilities.
I was on a 3 day course with a pre test lesson and test on the 4th day. The tuition was on a 1 to 1 basis and the lesson lasted 4 hours. I found my instructor to be knowledgable and straightaway set about advising me about what I needed to advance to a professional driver. His direction and advice was given calmly and he encouraged me through out. They also gave me little tipbits that I would not have thought about but were a great help in passing my test. All the team here are great from the instructors to the office staff.
I know from talking to the team that if you go to them direct they will take you out on an assessment drive and will advise you on how long you will need to pass your test. I can’t thank them enough as I felt that they treated me same as they would have done even if I had not gone through an broker. I would recommend these guys to anyone in the area that wants to add a category to their license. They are all knowledgable experienced and encouraging.
