All of our Instructors are fully Qualified and are listed on the prestigious Trade Register The National Register of LGV Instructors. This registration is voluntary but shows that all of our Instructors are fully committed to the industry and are confident to be re assessed every 5 years. This maintains there status on the register and assures that they are teaching at a Professional high standard.
Shaw’s Driver Training offers One to One Vocational Training courses for HGV/LGV, Driver CPC Modules, PSV/PCV and many more, all tailored to your individual requirements.
We operate in Shrewsbury, Telford, the wider Shropshire area and the West Midlands.
We will be there with a post-driving test handshake and congratulations when you pass.
If you already hold a Vocational Licence and wish to take a refresher course before starting a new job or gain a higher professional driving qualification in Road Haulage, Coach and/or Minibus, then look no further than Shaw’s Driver Training.

The Initial Driver CPC MOD 4 Training Course will be delivered by one of our experienced Instructors. We can now also complete the Driver CPC MOD 4 Qualification with our own Fully Qualified DVSA MOD 4 Assessor who can complete the Test at a time to suit, including weekends, at our Shrewsbury base. We are one of only a few private companies Nationwide that can now offer this service.

Steve was recommended by a mutual friend as I was interested in doing my Class C. Contacted Steve regarding doing this and he was really helpful and explained the courses that he could provide. I booked my CPC module 4 for the following week. I did my training with Gary and took the test with Steve and passed first time. The course was very informative and clearly explained. I also did my assessment after on the lorry for my Class C. Booked 5 days training and test. The training given not only enables you to pass your test but also gives you useful insight into the industry. Steve puts you at ease and provides you with knowledge and skills that you can use once your training is complete. With the guidance and reassurance of Steve I was able to pass first time. I would highly recommend Steve to anyone looking to do their HGV licence.

Hiya….. just wanted to say how good Steve was with his tuition and guidance. I started my Cat C training on saturday… steve assessed my level of driving and skills, asked some questions and then we cracked on with me driving. He explained everything in detail. Corrected where i did wrong and we cracked on. As i progressed in day 2 steve pointed out things to remember which i may add helped me loads with islands…. left and right hand turns… indicating at the right time… etc etc. Day 3 arrived n polishing of those skills that steve had passed on to me. Well day 4….(TEST DAY)… i passed with 5 minors… nothing to worry about. So people…. get booking with shaws hgv training…. hes spot on. Well worth the time and commitment and when you hear ” congratulations mr jones you have passed” thats what i wanted to hear. Thanks again steve. See ya on the black stuff 6 wheels and 2..

Amazing Truck that makes the learning enviroment more relaxed and the reverse camera and the markings on the trailer are a big help on manoeuvres. Steve is a brilliant instructor with years of experience and great tips and tricks he shares with his students. I felt very comftable during all of my training and test thanks to the great job Steve did. I highly recommended Shaw’s Driver Training to anyone who wants to gain extra licences and knowledge

Did and passed cat c first time with steve shaw.
Very good instructor would recommend him to anyone top bloke if your intersted in doing your test get booked in with him asap!!!
