Having been driving various machines on the road since 1987, one could believe it difficult to teach old dogs new tricks, both the instructors Steve & Paul at Scania in Fareham proved that you can! Both experienced lorry drivers with the skills to share their knowledge in a professional & informative way, their previous experience was passed on in a good humoured & useful way making the course much easier to learn. The training was tailored to my available time being flexible to change at short notice, it was professionally executed & what I had imagined to be an arduous task i.e. driving a rather large lorries through the local area for the first time, they made it very enjoyable.Both the training premises & the lorries were all very good & well looked after, as was the hot chocolate from the machine.The self learning package was excellent (would suggest this is undertaken sooner rather than later as there is a lot to know), as was the back up from Scania HQ training services, all who answered the phone & email were pleasant, knowledgeable & very helpful. Costs were very reasonable & I feel I had good value for money.Without a shadow of doubt I would whole heartedly recommend to anyone wanting to learn to drive a lorry that Scania are an excellent choice.
