Video: Lorry full of chocolate overturns

This incredible video shows the aftermath of an accident involving a lorry, which overturned spilling 12 tons of liquid chocolate onto the road. The incident occurred on the A2 motorway near Wrzesnia in Poland on 9th May. The delicious cargo ended up spread across six lanes, however, the impact on traffic was minimal as the crash occurred early in the morning. The driver suffered a broken arm, no other injuries were reported.

The cleanup operation presented a difficult challenge for authorities. Senior brigadier Bogdan Kowalski of the local Slupca Fire Service said, “the cooling chocolate is worse than snow’.

Before the road was closed, some vehicles drove through the spill, spreading it along the road. Furthermore, as the chocolate cooled it started to solidify, making it much more difficult to remove.
